LEICESTER Speedway are pleased to announce the appointment of John Harvey as the club’s new Commercial Manager.
Harvey is a familiar face at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena as he has been the regular start marshal since the club returned to racing in 2011, and also holds the necessary qualifications to stand in as Clerk of the Course.
Now he’s agreed to extend his responsibilities, with Leicester looking to expand an already successful commercial operation featuring backing for both teams and the stadium itself.
Co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: “We all know how important sponsorship is in modern-day speedway, and that’s now the case even more as everyone looks to recover from the pandemic.
“Here at Leicester a huge amount of work has been done over the years and we’re already extremely fortunate with the companies and individuals who have given us their backing, and it is all very much appreciated.
“We’re delighted that John has agreed to take on the Commercial Manager role, and many supporters will already be aware of how much work he puts in for the club’s benefit.
“John’s local knowledge and expertise will hopefully enable us to open up new opportunities, and I’d urge anyone interested in getting involved with the club to contact him.”
Leicester have a range of opportunities available for the coming season including programme advertising, heat sponsorship and air-fence signage.
There is also sponsorship for two race-suits for the Watling JCB Lions and two for the Lion Cubs remaining, which carry several benefits including having your name on the relevant suit.
